Coca-Cola Malaysia is aware of the current circulation of a rumor, which makes false allegations against the imported Coca-Cola UEFA Euro 2016 limited edition aluminum bottles sold in selected outlets in Malaysia as containing alcohol.
Coca-Cola understands the local market and recognizes and respects the importance of reassuring our Muslim consumers that our products meet the strict halal processing standards so that it can be consumed with peace of mind. The facts as follows:
1. In conjunction with the celebrated football event of which it is an Official Sponsor and has been since 1988, Coca-Cola has launched special edition Coca-Cola UEFA Euro 2016 aluminium bottles in Europe. To bring it closer to Malaysians football fans and collectors, Coca-Cola Malaysia have imported these collectibles to be sold for limited time in selected outlets.
2. Although the Coca-Cola UEFA Euro 2016 limited edition aluminum bottles are not produced in Malaysia and are labelled on the pack as imported, Coca-Cola Malaysia assures the public that the ingredients and manufacturing process used in the production of Coca-Cola beverage are rigorously regulated by government and health authorities in more than 200 countries which have consistently recognised the drink as a non-alcoholic product. This includes countries where Islam is the major religion.
